Cuales son los numeros cardinales
Los numeros cardinales, son aquellos que usamos para contar, el uno(1), el dos(2), el tres(3)… Son números cardinales.
Los primeros doce números son sencillos, los has aprendido desde pequeño:
one(1), two(2), three(3), four(4), five(5), six(6), seven(7), eight(8), nine(9), ten(10), eleven(11), twelve(12).
Después están los números comprendidos entre el 13 y el 19, estos se escriben añadiendo la terminación
‘-teen’
thirteen(13), fourteen(14), fifteen(15), sixteen(16), seventeen(17), eighteen(18), nineteen(19).
Los números 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 terminan en ‘-ty’
twenty(20), thirty(30), forty(40), fifty(50), sixty(60), seventy(70), eighty(80), ninety(90)
Si un número está en el rango de 21 a 99 y su segundo dígito no es un cero, entonces añadimos el número escrito como unidad al número escrito como decena, es decir:
25 = 20 + 5 ==> twenty five(25), así por ejemplo escribiríamos forty one para 41 o eighty eight para 88.
En muchos casos veremos cómo al escribir los números en inglés, algunas reglas de estilo colocan un guión, como por ejemplo:
Eighty-six para escribir 86 o Fifty-five para 55

Y así sucesivamente hasta llegar al infinito.
Ordinal numbers
Utilizamos los números ordinales para indicar cifras, fechas, el orden de las cosas o el piso de un edificio. Estos números los escribimos usando la cifra y las letras -st o -nd o -rd o -th. Por ejemplo:
1st = primero 6th= sexto
2nd = segundo 7th= séptimo
3rd = tercero 8th= octavo
4th = cuarto 9th= noveno
5th = quinto 10th= décimo

Los números cardinales son fáciles de usar una vez los sepamos. No cambian nunca y no tienen plural.
Secuencia para aprenderse los números en inglés: 1 - 12 (cada número tiene un nombre), 13 - 19 (agrego -teen al final), 20 - 90 (agrego -ty al final), 100- 900 (hundred al final), 1000 - 9000 (thousand al final)
Recuerda: un guión (-) entre las palabras de estos números compuestos 21 al 99. Números mayores a 99, no requieren de un guión (-).
