Hello! My name is Marina and I come from Serbia where I currently live. I am a person of very diverse interests so my hobbies include - singing in a cover band, working out, running, cooking, meditation, and etc.
I had my first teaching experience when I was 14 when I taught chemistry to my cousin who had failed a chemistry exam. I have had a great passion for teaching ever since. Immediately after obtaining my master's degree in Psychology, I started working as a teaching assistant at a university. I taught Methodology of Psychological Research and Academic Writing to students of Psychology for three years.
I think that my passion for teaching comes from my deepest need to assist in other people’s development and growth. Nothing gives me as much pleasure as that moment when a student’s face lights up with a sudden understanding of what I have been explaining to him. These moments are truly priceless and they make teaching the most enjoyable and inspiring job.
My teaching style is exceptionally energetic and is characterized by dynamic and warm interaction with a student. Another thing that students appreciate in my teaching is that I put a lot of efforts into correcting their mistakes and providing explanations for them with a lot of patience and warmth.
Students who learn with me can use any of the numerous books I have (e.g. New Concept English, Side by Side, Let's Go, Junior New Concept English, TOEFL for basic, intermediate and advanced level, New Cambridge Young Learners English, etc.). In addition, as I have published several scientific papers in international scientific journals, I can assist you with writing up of your scientific papers. Here is a reference for one of my papers, Stosic, M., Brass, M., Van Hoeck, N., Ma, N., and Van Overwalle, F. (2014).
